English Premier League, Championship Sunday

Here is a brief recap of Championship Sunday, matchday 38 (the last match day of the EPL). Liverpool beat already relegated Middlesbrough 3-0 to secure a spot in the Champions League playoffs. Man City crushed Watford 5-0 to finish third, two points ahead of Liverpool. Tottenham tore apart Hull 7-1 as Harry Kane netted a second hat-trick in four days to win the race for the Golden Boot with 29 goals. Ten man Arsenal just edged Everton 3-1, but fell short of a Champions League spot. Manchester United dominated Crystal Palace and won 2-0 with the youngest squad in Premier League history. Last years champions Leicester, drew with the Cherries (Bournemouth) 1-1. Southampton fell to Stoke 1-0. Swansea won 2-1 against West Brom, thanks to a late winner from Fernando Llorente. Burnley lost to West Ham 2-1. Chelsea had already won the title and finished the season with a 5-1 win against last place Sunderland. That’s all for Championship Sunday.
