English Premier League, Championship Sunday

It’s the final match day of the 2015/16 English Premier League season. Although nobody is playing for much, it’s still one of the most exciting days of the year for football fans. Championship Sunday! If you missed any of the action, here is a brief recap. West Brom and Liverpool battled to a 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns. Olivier Giroud’s first ever EPL hat-trick helped Arsenal to a whopping 4-0 victory over Aston Villa. Champions, Leicester drew 1-1 with Chelsea to top off an extremely memorable year that saw them lift their first ever top flight trophy. Everton cruised to a 3-0 win against relegated Norwich in Tim Howard’s final match with the Toffees. Tottenham suffered a 5-1 defeat to Newcastle, finishing 3rd, one point behind rivals Arsenal. Southampton destroyed Crystal Palace, 4-1. Stoke came from behind to beat West Ham 2-1. Manchester City drew 1-1 with Swansea, clinching the fourth UEFA Champions League spot. Watford and Sunderland tied, 2-2. Bournemouth fell 3-1 to Manchester United. Well, that’s all for the 2015/16 Premier League season.
