The UEFA Champions League has begun it’s knockout phase with the Round of 16. If you missed any of the action, here is a brief recap. Benfica will be heading into the second leg 1-0 up thanks to Jonas’ last minute winner versus KAA Gent; the final score was 1-0. Edinson Cavani also netted late (78th minute), giving PSG a 2-1 victory over Chelsea. Julian Draxler’s brace helped give Wolfsburg a 3-0 lead over Gent in the 60th minute. In the last ten minutes, though, Gent came back, scoring twice before the final whistle, giving them a chance in the second leg. Roma fell 2-0 to Spanish giants, Real Madrid. Los Blancos’ (Real Madrid) fellow Spaniards also won 2-0, against Arsenal. Bayern Munich gave up a 2-0 lead, letting Juventus come back and draw, 2-2. Manchester City beat Dynamo Kiev, 3-1. PSV and Atletico Madrid tied, 0-0. Well, that’s all for the first legs of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
