2016 Winter Transfers

With the January transfer window closing a few days ago I have made a post to inform you on who transferred where. Honestly there weren’t many major moves. The largest move was Alex Teixeira from Shakhtar Donetsk to Jiangsu Suning for €50 million. Every other transfer was below €20 million with one exception, Jackson Martinez from Atletico Madrid to Guangzhou Evergrande for €42 million. It seems the Chinese were the only ones who wanted to spend any money. Nigel De Jong went to the LA Galaxy for free. Ashley Cole (AS Roma) also went to the LA Galaxy for free. Denis Cheryshev went to Valencia from Real Madrid on loan. Federico Fazio went on loan to Sevilla from Tottenham. Mathieu Debuchy was loaned out by Arsenal to Bordeaux. Steven Fletcher went on loan to Marseille from Sunderland. Alexandre Pato went to Chelsea on loan from the Corinthians. Gervinho transferred to Hebei China Fortune FC for €18 million. Andros Townsend went to Newcastle from Tottenham for an undisclosed fee. Ramires went to Jiangsu Suning from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee. Emmanuel Adebayor went to Crystal Palace for free. Stephan El Shaarawy was loaned to Roma by AC Milan. Victor Valdes went on loan to Standard Liege from Manchester United. Jonjo Shelvey transferred to Newcastle from Swansea for €12 million. Matt Miazaga, a promising young center-back, went to Chelsea from the New York Red Bulls for an undisclosed fee. You should now be up to date on where your favorite players are.
