Here is a brief recap of the Premier League matches that took place on match day 17. Chelsea, under a new manager after firing Jose Mourinho due to the Blues’ terrible form, easily beat Sunderland, 3-1. Everton fought hard against high flying Leicester, but were unable to win; the final score was 3-2. Manchester United were upset 2-1 by Norwich. It seems, though, that Man U being upset isn’t very surprising anymore (maybe it’s time for a change of manager). Southampton fell 2-0 to Tottenham. Lee Chung-Yong’s late goal (a cracker) gave Crystal Palace a 2-1 victory over Stoke. Charlie Daniels converted a penalty in the 87th minute assuring they would collect all three points against West Brom; the match ended 2-1. Newcastle United and Aston Villa drew, 1-1. Watford shocked Liverpool, crushing them 3-0, one of which came from a mistake by Liverpool’s backup keeper, Adam Bogdan. Swansea tied 0-0 with West Ham. Arsenal were victorious, 2-1 over Manchester City in huge match between two of the title favorites. That’s all for match day 17’s EPL action. Make sure you check back for my Boxing Day post.
