UEFA Champions League, Match Day 6, Part 1

The final match day of the UEFA Champions League group stages has come. For some teams the matches are meaningless, but for others they’ll decide if they will advance, play in the UEFA Europa League, or be knocked out of Europe entirely. Here is a brief recap of the matches that took place on Tuesday. Lucas and Ibrahimovic both netted in PSG a 2-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk. Galatasaray drew 1-1 with Astana. Raheem Sterling scored a brace as Manchester City came back from behind to beat Borussia Monchengladbach 4-2. Davy Propper’s 85th minute cracker gave PSV a 2-1 win over CSKA Moscow. Atletico Madrid were 2-1 victors against Benfica. Ronaldo put 4 past a stunned Malmo keeper (breaking the record for most goals scored in the group stage and making him top goalscorer with 11) as Real Madrid pounded them 8-0. Juventus fell 1-0 to Sevilla. Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League, losing 3-2 to Wolfsburg. That’s all for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League action.
