UEFA Champions League, Match Day 3, Part 1

Here is a brief recap of the match day 3 UEFA Champions League matches that took place this past Tuesday. Ivan Rakitic (who came on as a sub in the 18th minute) netted both of Barcelona’s goals in their 2-0 win over BATE Borisov. Arsenal really needed a win and were up against a very tough Bayern Munich side. Bayern dominated the match, but Arsenal won 2-0. Roma came back from being 2-0 down to 4-2 up on Bayer Leverkusen. Then in the last 6 minutes Bayer scored twice to salvage a point. Brown Ideye’s solo goal gave Olympiakos a 1-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb. Chelsea drew 0-0 with Dynamo Kiev. Maccabi Tel-Aviv are still without a point after their 2-0 loss to FC Porto. Valencia beat KAA Gent, 2-1. Zenit maintained their perfect record, winning 3-1 against Lyon.
