This past Sunday was Championship Sunday, the final match day of the 2014-15 EPL season. If you missed it here is a brief recap. Theo Walcott netted a hat trick as Arsenal steam rolled West Brom. Danny Ings scored the only goal of the match to give relegated Burnley a win over Aston Villa. League champions, Chelsea, beat Sunderland 3-1. Swansea City fell 1-0 to Crystal Palace. Tottenham were 1-0 victors over Everton with Harry Kane scoring the only goal. Hull City tied 0-0 with Manchester United, which was not enough to keep them in the Premier League. Leicester City destroyed QPR, who are also not going to be in the EPL next season, 5-1. Southampton lost to Manchester City, 2-0, meaning that they just fell short of playing in the Europa League. Newcastle United were victorious over West Ham United, 2-0. Stoke City shocked Liverpool, crushing them 6-1, but even with that terrible result the Reds will be in the 2015-16 Europa League. The 2014-15 English Premier League season has drawn to a close. Congratulations to Chelsea on winning the title. The EPL will return on August 8th.
