Here is a brief recap of match day 35’s Premier League action. Newcastle United lost to Leicester City, 3-0, expanding their winless streak in the EPL to eight games and putting them only two points above the relegation zone. Christian Benteke netted a brace in Aston Villa’s win over Everton. After Steven Gerrard missed a penalty for Liverpool in the 79th minute, which would’ve put them ahead 2-1, it looked like they were only going to tie QPR, but in the 87th minute Gerrard redeemed himself by scoring the winning goal of the match. Sunderland beat Southampton, 2-1, with both of their goals coming from penalties. Swansea City were 2-0 victors over Stoke City. Burnley, who were one man down from the 23rd minute fell to West Ham United, 0-1, and currently sit last place in the table. Even with just 20% possession, West Brom managed to beat Manchester United, 1-0. Crystal Palace were unable to upset Chelsea, losing 1-0, confirming that the Blues are the 2014-15 EPL champions. Manchester City won 1-0 over Tottenham. Arsenal dominated against Hull City and deservedly won, 3-1. That’s all for match day 35’s Premier League action.
