Surprise, match day 25 of the EPL came early. If you missed all the action because you didn’t know their was any action, here is a brief recap. Coming off their North London Derby defeat, Arsenal were looking to get three points against Leicester. They did exactly that, winning 2-1. Relegation threatened Aston Villa lost again, this time 2-0 to Hull City. QPR beat Sunderland, 2-0. Liverpool’s Mario Ballotelli netted his first goal of the 2014-15 English Premier League season in the 83rd minute to win a very close match with Tottenham, 3-2. Chelsea scored in the 89th minute to beat Everton, 1-0, but may have been a little lucky that Willian’s (the goalscorer) shot was slightly deflected. If it hadn’t Tim Howard (the Everton goalie) probably would have saved it. Chris Smalling scored a brace (two goals) as Manchester United triumphed over Burnley, 3-1. Southampton drew with West Ham United, 0-0. Manchester City crushed Stoke City, 4-1! Crystal Palace tied 1-1 with Newcastle United. Although Swansea City dominated possession, they were unable to score and lost 2-0 to West Brom. That’s all for match day 25’s Premier League action.
