Here is a brief recap of the final match day of 2014. Tottenham and Manchester United were two pretty evenly matched teams and both deservedly went home with a point (the game ended 0-0). Although going 1-0 down in the 17th minute, Chelsea were able to earn a 1-1 draw against Southampton. Leicester City barely pulled off a 1-0 win over Hull City. Aston Villa went a man down in the 49th minute, but were able to hold on to a 0-0 draw versus Sunderland. Burnley miraculously came back from 2-0 down to draw Manchester City, 2-2. Crystal Palace drew QPR, 0-0. Mame Diouf netted both goals in Stoke City’s 2-0 win over West Brom. Santi Cazorla and Danny Welback both scored to give Arsenal a 2-1 win over West Ham. Newcastle United were 3-2 victors over struggling Everton. Liverpool crushed Swansea City, 4-1. That’s all for match day 19, as well as the year of 2014.
