UEFA Champions League, Week 6, Part 1

It’s the last week of the group stages in the Champions League, which means the games are more exciting than ever. Since you missed, I know you missed it, I’ve been nice enough to write a recap of the matches below. Real Madrid ended their group stage in style with a 4-0 win over Ludogorets. Zenit were unable to secure a spot in the knockout stages, losing 2-0 to Monaco. Benfica and Bayer Leverkusen drew 0-0. Lukas Podolski and Aaron Ramsey both netted braces 4-1 thrashing of Galatasaray. Although Juventus’ 72% possession, they couldn’t score a tied 0-0 with Atletico Madrid. Liverpool only managed to draw with FC Basel, which was not enough to see them through to the next round. Olympiakos scored two late goals to beat Malmo FF, 4-2. Dortmund tied Anderlecht, 1-1. That concludes groups A, B, C, and D.
