Here is a brief recap of the EPL games that occurred on match day 15. Papiss Cisse netted a brace as Newcastle United shocked Chelsea with a 2-1 victory (which was Chelsea’s first EPL loss this season). Allan McGregor saved a penalty to preserve a point for Hull City in their 0-0 draw against West Brom. Liverpool were unable to score against a struggling Sunderland side and tied, 0-0. QPR beat Burnley, 2-0. The Gunners (Arsenal) shot themselves in the foot in their match against Stoke, losing 3-2. Their rivals, Tottenham, didn’t do much better though, tying Crystal Palace, 0-0. Manchester City were lucky to beat Everton 1-0 with their lone goal coming from a soft penalty. West Ham United fought back from 1-0 down to triumph over Swansea, 3-1. Aston Villa were 2-1 victors over Leicester City. Over at St. Mary’s Stadium, Robin van Persie led Manchester United to a 2-1 victory (although they were a bit lucky) over Southampton to put them third in the table. That’s all for match day 15.
