UEFA Champions League, Week 3, Part 1

Here is a brief recap of this Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League action. Manchester City tied even though they were 2-0 up on CSKA Moscow at half-time. Although, the penalty that tied the game in the 86th minute was debatable.Bayern Munich absolutely obliterated Roma, 7-1! Edison Cavani won the game for PSG against underdogs, Apoel, three minutes before full time to keep them on the top of Group F. Another blowout, Shakhtar Donetsk crushed BATE Borisov, 7-0, with Luiz Adriano scoring five (he’s the second player to ever score five goals in a Champions League match, the other is Messi). Barcelona beat Ajax comfortably, 3-1. Chelsea dominated in their match, netting six goals past a helpless NK Maribor. Athletic Bilbao lost again, this time to FC Porto, 2-1, and are still winless in their Champions League campaign. Scalke 04 barely beat Sporting Lisbon (4-3) with a penalty in extra time. That’s all for today, but there will be more UCL (UEFA Champions League) action tomorrow.
