UEFA Champions League, Week 2, Part 2

If you missed Wednesday’s Champions League action here is a brief recap. Zenit drew, 0-0, with AS Monaco. Adrian Ramos’ two goals helped Borussia Dortmund crush Anderlecht, 3-0. Danny Welback lead The Gunners (Arsenal) to a 4-1 victory against Galatasaray with his first hat trick (three goals) for Arsenal in all competitions. An undefeated Juventus lost to Atletico Madrid, 1-0 (Arda Turan scored the goal). Bayer Leverkusen dominated Benfica and won, 3-1. Basel shocked Liverpool with the only goal of the match coming from Basel’s forward, Marco Streller. Defending champions, Real Madrid, had a little trouble with Bulgarian side, Ludogorets. Ludogorets scored in the 6th minute to go ahead, but Real came back to win, 2-1 (Real Madrid had two penalties, one they missed and the one they scored probably shouldn’t have been a penalty because Cristiano Ronaldo dived). Olympiakos’ defense played terrible against Malmo FF who beat them, 2-0. That’s all for week 2 of the UEFA Champions League, but there’ll be more exciting action next week!
