How Transfers Work

Transfers are really fun to follow, but you can’t follow them if you don’t know what a transfer is. So, let me break it down for you. When a player moves from one team to another it is called a transfer. Usually when a transfer occurs one team has to pay a transfer fee (sometimes a transfer fee is 10 pounds of sausage, but not very often) to the team who is selling the player, but they also have to pay the player his salary. Transfers can also be player swaps though. One team can swap one player for another. Teams are only allowed to make transfers in transfer windows which are the month of January and the month of June and August. Sometimes a player’s contract runs out which means teams can get him for free. I hope you now understand transfers a little better so you can follow transfers without being befuddled!
