Here is brief update on the transfers that have occurred this summer. Probably the biggest move so far was Luis Suarez going to Barcelona, but why does Barca need three strikers? Alexis Sanchez will be leaving Barca and going to Arsenal (wow, Arsene Wenger spent some money). Real Madrid are close to getting James Rodriguez who was outstanding for Columbia during the World Cup. Another Real signing was Toni Kroos who won the World Cup with Germany. After Manchester United’s disaster of a season with David Moyes they have hired Louis van Gaal to try and rebuild the reds team. So far he has brought in Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, and (not yet confirmed, but looks like) Arturo Vidal. Jose Mourinho has signed Diego Costa and Cesc Fabergas that will certainly strengthen the Chelsea squad. PSG signed David Luiz from Chelsea. Another Premier League team making improvements is Tottenham Hotspurs who have recently signed Deandre Yedlin from the Seattle Sounders. Liverpool has torn apart the Southampton team, signing three of their players, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, and Dejan Lovren. These many transfers are sure to make the 2014-15 season quite exciting.
