Here is a brief recap of match day three for Group C. The Ivory Coast were very close to getting a tie against Greece, which would have put them through to the Round of 16, but gave up a penalty in the 92nd minute that Samaras buried to give Greece the 2-1 win. Columbia crushed Japan, 4-1, ending any hopes they had of advancing to the Round of 16. Finishing at the top of the group was Columbia with nine points (they will be advancing to the Round of 16). Greece finished in second with four points (also advancing). In third is the Ivory Coast with three points, with Japan in last place with only one points (both teams are now eliminated).
