English Premier League, Match Day 33, Part Two

The race for title is down to three teams with only a few games left. These last games are vital. Today, West Ham United played Liverpool and Everton played Arsenal. The Liverpool v.s. West Ham game wasn’t a big surprise. Liverpool won 2-1, but both their goals came off Steven Gerrard penalties. West Ham tied it up in the 45th minute one minute after Liverpool scored. Then in the 71st minute Steven Gerrard scored his second penalty to seal a victory putting Liverpool in first and two points ahead of Chelsea in second. Over at Goodison Park Arsenal traveled to face Roberto Martinez’s strong Everton side. Everton were only four points away from knocking Arsenal off fourth place and the last Champions League spot. Arsenal needed to win, but seemed like they had forgotten how to play. Everton crushed them 3-0 with Steven Naismith and Romelu Lukaku both netting in the first half putting Everton only one point away from European football. That was all for today, but make sure you watch the Tottenham v.s. Sunderland game tomorrow on NBCSN.
