Champions League, Quarterfinal, Part Two

On Wednesday there was also a bit of Champions League action. Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid team were facing Borussia Dortmund the team who knocked them out of last years competition. That wasn’t the story this time. Real Madrid crushed them 3-0. Bale opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with Isco scoring in the 27th minute. Then in the second half Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 14th goal of the Champions League. With Robert Lewandowski suspended Dortmund stood no chance. Over in Paris Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea squad played against the very strong PSG. Just recently Chelsea suffered a defeat against Crystal Palace which may have dampened their spirits since Crystal Palace are in 16th in the Premier League. Chelsea seemed to start a little slow which lead to a Ezequiel Lavezzi PSG goal in the 3rd minute, but after that Chelsea dominated the game for most of the first half and were rewarded with a Eden Hazard penalty in the 27th minute. 16 minutes into the first half David Luiz scored on his own goal! The game wasn’t finished there though. In the 90th minute Javier Pastore scored an amazing goal to make it three one. The only thing Psg may regret is that away goal they gave up which may prove vital in the second leg. Well, that was all the Champions League action there was this week.
