Champions League, Quarter Final

The Champions League is one of the most highly anticipated sporting events. There are only eight teams left in this years competition. On Tuesday, Diego Simeone’s inform Atletico Madrid squad traveled to the Camp Nou to face Barcelona. Despite Barca dominating possession, Atletico  opened the scoring with a stunning Diego goal. Diego, who came on as a sub because Diego Costa pulled his hamstring and is expected to be out a few weeks, will most likely start in the second leg against Barca. After that absolute screamer of a goal, Iniesta threaded a brilliant ball through to Neymar in the 71st minute, who then scored to deny Atletico the win away from home. The other game that day was the defending champions, Bayern Munich, against David Moyes’ struggling Man U side. Bayern dominated possession, but conceded a corner to Manchester United that cost them the three points. Nemanja Vidic scored a header while he was running away from goal. Their lead didn’t last long though. Mario Mandzukic presented a chance in the 66th minute when he headed down a pass from Rafinha, which Bastian Schweinsteiger buried in the top corner. Towards the end of the match, the goal scorer Schweinsteiger was sent off because of a second booking (yellow card) for pushing down Wayne Rooney, which means he will be suspended for the second leg.
